With thanks to ex-pat Jim Espie of New Zealand, some of the photos show his Aunt Doreen Espie.  Most will remember Miss. Espie as a teacher at the Hart Memorial P.S.

Watson Street, locally known as Railway Street, the side street was Watson's Lane (now gone), rooftops are of houses which was Florence Court, (now gone)

The building extreme right of photo was the Globe Bar, next to that was a tobacconist & newsagent shop, it was owned by the Jeffers family 1950-70's. next to that was Sherman's Chemist, the family lived above the shop, next was Edgar's hardware shop.
