Great site!! My great-grandfather John Livingston and his wife Emily Devine had 5 children - Thomas (my grandfather) Joseph William Lena and Edith. Thomas was married in Portadown on 25 December 1903 to Martha Griffith. I know about all aunts and uncles except William -- anyone have any info? Grazie e ciao!

Excellent site - a real treasure!! Tracing Isaac Steenson born c1865 (from Armagh area?)and his sister Isabella born c1869. Isabella married Richard Atkinson - he was born in Portadown and his father was a church verger. They settled in Hartlepool in NE England around 1887. Isaac became a minister and settled possibly in Canada. Can anyone illuminate please??!! Many thanks for any help.

I understand my family (Mulholland) is from an area called Tartigan. Any Mulholland's still there...would love to communicate. My uncle Robert Mulholland was there a few years ago. He said everyone treated him like a relative. I sincerely hope to get to your area someday. Regards to all.

Having attended Portadown College during the late forties/early fifties and then working in Portadown, for several years,I find this site very interesting. I especially enjoy many of the photos, particularly those showing the college rugby teams (I'm in three of them). Thanks Jim for refreshing good memories of a great town

I was brought up in an Irish community in Thornaby England. I remember well, the rag man, the pawn shops, the flapper tracks, the tuppeny rush and all of the other activities that where imported from Ireland. Our street alone had more Rafferty's Morgan's McCarthey's and just about every other Irish name you could think of
